The Team

Shania, Founder

Fred ThiébaudAs a child, Shania faced economic and social barriers that affected her academic performance and overall school experience. In 2010 Shania Twain launched the Shania Kids Can Foundation to help address the needs of young school children dealing with poverty and challenges in their personal lives.

Shania Kids Can provides services that promote positive change by working with elementary schools throughout North America to deliver wrap around services that provide support and stability by qualified professionals to the most vulnerable children. At each Shania Kids Can Clubhouse, children are supported in a safe confidence-building environment with one-on-one consultations, academic assistance, group activities, as well as nutritious snacks and meal programs where needed. “SKC supports primary age children by instilling responsibility, confidence, kindness, and encouraging them to be proactive members of their school community,” says Shania. “By creating a positive cycle for students and providing extra support, we’re giving them a better chance at personal success in the future,” says Shania.

Three decades into her storied career as the top-selling female country artist of all-time, Shania Twain continues her incredible and unparalleled reign as the queen of country music. Selling over 90 million albums worldwide, she’s earned five Grammy awards, and has enjoyed a string of unforgettable hits including, “You’re Still The One,” “From This Moment On,” “That Don’t Impress Me Much, “Man! I Feel Like A Woman!”, and “Come On Over,” to name a few.

A perennial fighter, in 2012 Shania returned from a quietly debilitating eight-year bout with Lyme Disease to headline a hit two-year Las Vegas residency; in 2015, she launched her comeback “Rock This Country” tour and received a 2016 Billboard Women in Music “Icon Award.” In 2018, Shania released NOW, her triumphant fifth album led by the declaratory first single “Life’s About to Get Good.” Her NOW world tour showcased an artist who is unstoppable, and currently at her brightest, boldest, and best.
