The last few months of school have been jam-packed with activity at the Irwin SKC Clubhouse. For our younger students Tanya from Erika’s Bakery in Dwight came in to show us how  to decorate donuts, a nurse visited from the health unit to teach us about dental hygiene and proper hand-washing, and we had an outing to “The Play Pit” (an indoor playground).

At the end of May, we took our whole group to Glen Mhor Camp where they learned new skills and faced their fears by doing archery, the climbing wall and a high ropes course and fort-building for the younger students. Throughout the year, we were continuously focusing on kindness, as well as having small groups and one-on-one time to work on our social skills.

Our grade 4-6 students went to X-Play Amusements, an indoor trampoline park for their end-of-year trip. We were able to follow our safety guidelines, and still provide the students with a memorable experience jumping on trampolines and playing laser tag. Thank you to our local community groups for donating funds and making so many activities possible.
